Being Through It is an intimate and thought-provoking solo exhibition by Sean Geraghty, inviting viewers on a deeply personal voyage that delves into the complexities of human emotion and vulnerability. Through an eclectic array of large scale artworks, this exhibition seeks to explore the artist's innermost emotional landscapes while challenging societal expectations of how emotions should be expressed and experienced. The venue will feature a captivating work-in-progress piece, offering a unique glimpse into the artist's creative process and their willingness to embrace vulnerability in their art.
At the core of the exhibition lies the theme of human emotion, explored through the lens of Sean's upbringing and therapy sessions. The artist fearlessly unravels the origin of their internal dialogue, thoughts, and feelings, weaving them into striking visual narratives that connect with the viewers on a profound level. Multi-layering of work in the pieces ensure the artworks serve as portals to the artist's psyche, exposing raw vulnerability and providing a safe space for the audience to reflect on their own emotional experiences.
Join us for a private viewing of the collection at the Somers Gallery in Camden from 3pm on the 5th August.
